You might want to check other apps that use Microphone input to make sure its not just a Skype issue. Cad drawing software for mac freeIf a newer client is used to place calls, that do not appear to support the older protocol, calls will not work, even on your wife's computer.I just tested it out again and I could not receive a call from any of the newer Skype clients (8.x+), using any workaround. AsLong as the clients being used to place calls support the older protocol, Skype will appear to function normally. I could actually delete the file, create my own from scratch and the end result would be exactly the same. Swapping out incompatible files/versions does not patch a copy of Skype, it simply ignores it.
